The enormous buzz around Podar MUN this year was well justified as it can be called the event of the year for schools in Mumbai. Debating skills were heightened, and so were the people skills at the Podar Model United Nations 2025. With students from 17 schools coming together at this summit, Podar MUN was a huge success, with the help of the encouraging support of all the teachers and Dr. Mrs. Vandana Lulla acting as a torchbearer, lighting the way for a memorable time. This year, Podar pulled out all the stops: it is the first school to involve very young students, right from the third grade, to foster their learning from an early age and it was the largest summit in Mumbai, with even bigger plans for next year! Students from within Podar were highly encouraged to participate in this event and the brilliant marketing efforts pulled a huge external crowd. The well-thought out agendas, chaotic crises and fun un-moderated sessions all encompassed a well-organised MUN which left all delegates satisfied.
All the delegates of the various committees were kept on their toes, unable to anticipate the next crisis which would shake up their agendas and alliances.

HUNSC: All talks of peace imploded as the Cuban President’s body double was shot dead by Pakistan, U.S missile blueprints were leaked to KGB and Cuba became the USA.
UNSC: It consisted of salient implications on the future of artificial intelligence in warfare. Many strong leading voices raised concerns and their stances on how artificial intelligence in the military could be threatened globally if not utilized with the right frameworks involved.
Marvel: The strongly-voiced ideas from the superheroes represent what they stand for and how far they’ll go to keep the world safe.
IPL: The 2026 IPL auction kicks-off with massive, bold moves! KKR bought Rohit Sharma for a record-breaking ₹30 Crore and placed him at the head of their team as captain.
FIFA: The committee had an intense discussion deciding the next host country for the FIFA cup. The countries vigorously debated on the basis of infrastructure, financial capability and football culture to decide which host country is the most worthy to host the prestigious world cup.

ECOSOC: At the current ECOSOC summit, delegates from diverse nations discussed monetary recovery efforts, inequality, and social policies amid the ongoing international demanding situations.
UNEP: A UN expert called upon countries to discuss efforts to attack fast fashion, environmental impacts and promote sustainable production. The motion to set the agenda was put forward by Ethiopia and a motion to begin formal debate introduced by Egypt.
AU: Tensions remained high as the group moved into an open floor after the crisis session ended. Several delegates were taken aback when they witnessed the United States holding discussions with the RSF.
UNHRC: As the delegates of the United Nations Human Rights Council debated the crisis in Gaza today, what unfolded felt more like a carefully staged performance than an organized roadmap to resolution.

CCC: “What’s ours is ours!” rang the Delegate of China at the beginning of the Crisis Committee. This was further intensified by the aggression directed at Taiwan due to its backing of Ukraine, demonstrated through the supply of drones and the continuous alignment of Taiwanese politics with those of the United States of America, actions which strongly contradict the asserted sovereignty of Taiwan.
AIPPM: Today’s All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM) session was a testament to how unorganized and unclear politics in India is. From various big name leaders to regional MPs, everybody displayed the skeletons in their closet and to what extent they were willing to stretch their so-called “Morality” and “Ethics”.
SDCC: All satellite communication was down. Pandemonium struck and pressures ran high. Aliens have threatened to take control of the earth, artificial intelligence [A.I.] has consumed control due to NASA satellites malfunctioning, and the present U.S. government is as clueless as a fish on land.
The stories of this MUN will be shared for years to come, and the memories will not be forgotten. PMUN 2025 has definitely been a holistic learning experience as all delegates embodied the spirits of real members of the United Nations, getting educated on the current political state of the world and addressing pressing issues. From 8 year old children overcoming their fear of speaking up to showdowns between seasoned debaters, this year’s MUN has been a blazing example for many more events to come!!
