Shreyam Hitesh Desai, IBDP Year 2 student’s achievements has made the school proud time and again. Apart from being an outstanding student with a track record of 9 A*s in IGCSE, he is also the recipient of the Principal’s Award because of his ability to link his strong intellectual leanings to the real world.

He is the President and founder of Project Synergy which is a network of Schools, Organizations and NGOs and across India that aim to execute collaborative projects based on the three pillars of sustainable development: the economy, the environment (and health), and social equity. Therefore schools and organizations have the help of other organizations to implement projects which allow the scale of projects to be severely increased. So far, there are close to 15 schools (with an emphasis towards local state educational boards) and organizations and more than 700 student and adult volunteers (many are students at their respected Synergy approved schools) across different Indian states.

Project Synergy is sponsored by Axis Bank (the 3rd largest private bank in India), the THIMUN Youth Assembly, Carribean Aid, and many local businesses. It also has chapters in the University of Mumbai, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.

His achievements have been recognized by universities in USA and UK who have given him glorious acceptance letters. Ten Universities seek his admission eagerly. The universities are all Ivy League and form part of the top ranking list of universities :
USA : Stanford, Universtiy of California, Berkley, University of California, Los Angeles, Brown University, University of Dartmouth, North Western University
UK : London School of Economics, University College of London,Warwick University, University of Edinburgh

Shreyam has opted for Stanford University, USA mainly for its resources and faculty. He gets a whopping 90% scholarship which makes his choice of Stanford a logical and savvy decision too. He wants to be a politician and has all the qualities of a great leader. Shreyam was the Head Boy at school and was also appointed the Secretary General of the Podar Model United Nations 2011. (PMUN 2011). He has participated in many MUNs across the city and also in the Debating Matters forum organized by the British Council.
